*Description
5·18 Memorial Park - The most tragic and disgraceful incident in modern Korean history took place in Gwangju in May 1980. During The Uprising many citizens of Gwangju were killed by soldiers. The 5·18 Memorial Park was established to remember the May 18 Democratization Movement.
Naejangsan National Park - Naejangsan is a famous mountain in the Jeolla-do province, and the best mountain in Korea for viewing autumn's crimson leaves. The name Naejang means 'many secrets' in the mountain. Because of the bright crimson leaves that blanket Naejangsan Mountain's fall scenery, the mountain is also referred to as "Geumgangsan of Honam."
Baekyangsa Temple - Founded during the reign of King Mu of the Baekje Dynasty (632), Baekyangsa Temple is located within Naejangsan National Park. The combination of the mountain and valleys on both sides creates beautiful scenery. Nature reveals its beauty throughout all seasons here especially the red maple leaves during the fall.

*Description
Metasequoia-lined Road - It is a beautiful and exotic boulevard that looks like it is came straight out of a fairytale. This unearthly place is the Metasequoia-lined Road.

Teseum Theme park - It is is a teddy bear museum exhibiting all sort of teddy bears and stitched dolls including ones shaped like wildlife animals, marine animals, flowers, birds, and more.

Trick Art Museum - It is the first museum in Korea to show optical illusion art. Each work looks differently when seen from different angles or spots. Its magic magnifies when seen from camera lenses. Visitors can take pictures with various fun poses blending nicely with exhibitions.

Juknokwon (Bamboo Garden) - It is a bamboo forest cultivated by the town of Damyang. Seonginsan Mountain behind Damyang Hyanggyo (Confucian school) was transformed into Juknokwon Bamboo Garden featuring a beautiful artificial waterfall, pavilion, walking paths and an eco-exhibition center, a popular destination for visitors.

Gochang Pansori Museum - It was established in the old residence of 'Dongni' Sin Jae-Hyo (a musical theorist and arranger and a sponsor of Pansori) with the aim of honoring the great Pansori singers of the past (including Sin Jae-Hyo) and preserving and developing the indigenous tradition of Pansori. For those interested in learning more about the traditional art of Pansori music or experiencing high-quality Pansori, the Gochang Pansori Museum is a must-visit travel destination.
Soswaewon Garden - It is a private garden from the Joseon Period where the beauty of traditional Korea is preserved. Soswaewon Garden presents itself as a clean and transparent garden where the righteous enjoy the life of anbinnakdo (being comfortable amid poverty and taking pleasure in and honest life style) surrounded by a bamboo grove.

Cancellation must be made to Hanjin Travel in writing and the following penalty shall apply.

*Cancellation received 30 days before the tour date : No penalty
*Cancellation received 14~29 days before the tour date: 20% of the listed tour fee
*Cancellation received 2~13 days before the tour date : 30% of the listed tour fee
*Cancellation received 1 day before the tour date : 50% of the listed tour fee
*Cancellation received after tour departure or no-show : 100% of the listed tour fee

2013 The 5th Gwangju Design Biennale
An exhibit that is a showcase for future design trends, and is a comprehensive exhibition that suits Gwangju's image as Asia's cultural center and design city.

The 5th Gwangju Design Biennale will explore cultural habits, shared characteristics, and coded conventions that inform the many unspoken contexts by which we communicate with one another.


Gwangju National Museum
A general museum that includes prehistoric relics, unified Silla and Goryeo Buddhist arts, relics of daily life, celadon and white porcelain, different dynasties of China, and a place where visitors can learn about history.

Gwangju Folk Museum
This perserves the folk culture of Gwangju and Jeonnam area from the 19th and early 20th centuries, and is used for handing down folk culture.

Mt. Mudeung
With Seoseokdae and Iipseokdae at the peak, this mountain is a well-known symbol of Nam-do. It is formed with a unique columnar joint, and holds the stories of Gwangju as well as Buddhist temples such as Jeungsimsa, Wonhyosa and Yaksasa. The famous Mt. Mudeong watermelons are grown here, which are widely popular among Gwangju residents.


Bamboo forest(Juk-nok-won : Damyang)
A bamboo forest covering 100,000m2 of land area consisting of grass field, auditorium, bonfire, assembly hall, nature experience hall and bamboo forest bath spa.

A symbol of urban regeneration and environmental protection.
